Tucked away in a corner of Palermo rarely frequented by foreigners, Thymus is one of the unsung joys of Buenos Aires's dining scene. The restaurant lacks any hint of the pretension that characterises most of its neighbours on the other side of Córdoba avenue. It eschews the area’s typical decor in favour of two intimate, well-lit spaces decorated with relief sculptures. But it roundly trounces the competition where it counts: the food. While little on the menu is likely to disappoint, diners would be well advised to sample one of the fish offerings.
