The Source serves a set menu of Sichuan specialties, changing it every two weeks. The menu includes several appetizers, both hot and mild dishes, and a few surprise concoctions from the chef. On request, the kitchen will tone down or increase the spiciness of your individual dishes, ensuring you get what you want. The Source's location was once the backyard of a Qing Dynasty general regarded by the Qing court as "The Great Wall of China" for his military exploits. The grounds have been painstakingly renovated; an upper level overlooks a small garden filled with pomegranate and date trees. The central yard's dining is serene and acoustically protected from the hustle and bustle outside, making it a perfect place to escape the trappings of the city if only for a short (meal) time.
