Moscow has no shortage of trendy restaurants for those who want to see and be seen. But now, that other, long-neglected market segment for discreet, anonymous dining in the dark has finally been filled by a worthy newcomer: Chinese restaurant Shatush. Sleek and uber-trendy this modern, low-lit eatery serves excellent modern cuisine from various parts of China. The chef and cooks are said to be from Hakkasan in the UK (the design in the blue room certainly is) and they serve up treats like Szechuan duck and hot and sour dishes, some of which are undoubtedly the best in Russia. There’s a modern looking bar area for pre or post dinner drinks, featuring some original signature cocktails and some of Russia’s Vodka based favourites too if you’re feeling old school.
