One of the most appealing Italian restaurants in Geneva occupies a relatively formal-looking dining room that's sheathed with wood paneling, mirrors, and a series of contemporary paintings by the restaurant's owner, Roberto Carugati. There's more here, however, than just artwork, as the food is delectable, flavored with the kind of Mediterranean sunshine that you'd expect from a midsummer trip to Italy. Menu items include such succulent pastas as tortellini with chopped veal and a cream sauce; filets of turbot with béarnaise sauce; and scampi served with tarragon. Especially sought-after are the house versions of saltimbocca (veal with ham), osso buco (braised veal shanks), and crespelle ai quattro formaggi (Italian crepes with four kinds of cheeses).
