By far the most adventurous of Messr Ramsay’s restaurants Maze is the brainchild of Ramsay Protege Jason Atherton. The menu consists of a multitude of small dishes such as Cornish Crab Salad, Bloody Mary Sorbet, Duart Salmon with fine beans & Foie Gras and peanut butter and berry jam sandwich, all arranged beautifully and displayed at your table in a kind of culinary fashion show. Each dish is designed to share, in a kind of modern eclectic, gastronomic Tapas experience. Exciting and sociable, Maze is unquestionably the current hot ticket in London, and with it’s spectacular setting in the ultra modern London Marriot it promises to keep diners guessing for a long while to come. There’s still the signature attentive service and deep well chosen wine list but by and large this is a departure from the usual Ramsay formula, but a decidedly fresh and welcome one.
