Joel Robuchon has been a busy man since retiring a decade ago. Since handing over the reigns of his Michelin starred restaurant in Paris he went on to Open the small L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon in Tokyo and it proved such a hit that Robuchon now boasts L’Atelier establishments across three continents. Now alongside sister joints in Las Vegas, New York, Paris, Monaco & Tokyo comes the London branch of this popular chain on West St Covent Garden. The draw of the L’Atelier chain is the counter style seating and open kitchen which means diners are treated to a culinary show right before they eat their food. On the second floor there’s a fine dining establishment –la Cuisine- for those who prefer table seating to a counter, ideal for those who are more interested in setting an reformed ambience rather than gastronomy. Robuchon signatures like cauliflower cream with caviar and potato puree are mainstays of the menu along with an ever changing host of alternatives that make the most of seasonal produce. The wine list is as full bodied and diverse as the bottles within it.
