Owner David Fink, of Carmel's highly acclaimed Bouchée restaurant, restored the property to reflect the mood of its European-style architecture and capture the village in the woods feel of Carmel-by-the-Sea. A meal in the restaurant, usually between eight to ten courses, begins with explosive bright and complex flavors with influences from Mexico, Southeast Asia and Japan showcasing the finest regional and seasonal produce. As the menu progresses, the flavors become more pronounced with European influences and a respect for tradition. Chef Walter Manzke of Bouchée is able to focus individually on patrons, as there are only twelve hotly sought after tables. A wine cellar has been constructed underneath the inn's beautifully landscaped courtyard. Quaint and relaxed the restaurant offers one of the finest Californian wine dining experiences of all.
