A decade in and still this glamorous Phillippe Starck designed dining space on the 28th floor of the luxurious Peninsula, hotel is still Hong Kong’s most exclusive dining experience. As one would expect of a Hotel that has a fleet of Rolls Royces at its’ gates, you can always count on the friendly, courteous staff, always ready to deliver attentive and personalized service with a smile. Hawaiian chef Bryan Nagao uses Thai ingredients in his Pacific Rim cuisine fusing flavours to create a menu that all of Hong Kong still flocks to sample. The menu maintains the Pacific Rim pathos of the restaurant but is enhanced by Nagao’s own personal touch adding a lighter Asian, Californian and Mediterranean twist. Signature dishes like Maine Lobster Cocktail done two ways with shaved Wild Fennel and Spicy Lemon Horseradish Vinaigrette, Seared Sonoma Foie Gras with Ginger Marinated Figs and Thai Chili Sweet-Sour Broth or Macadamia Nut Shrimps with Thai Cucumber Salad and Yellow Curry Orange Sauce give the city a menu that can compete with the Ducasse’s, Keller’s and Ramsay’s of the west. Drinks are first rate with bartenders mixing up your favourite martini or perfect Manhattan with flamboyant ease. And the Felix also boasts the uber-chic Felix bar upstairs, with a clientele and ambience akin to London’s celebrity littered Met-bar or Monte Carlo’s Jimmyz.
