The hottest place to be seen at the moment Black Calvados on Avenue Pierre is the new nightspot come Restaurant from Culture Kid Alex de Betak and Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell. With it’s exclusive position around the corner from Avenue George V (featuring the deluxe hotel of the same name and Balenciaga and Givenchy flagship buildings) it is the City of Lights’ unquestionable sine qua non. All of Paris’ big names come here to dine on the sumptuous cuisine (which has been tentatively branded as “American Neuveau”) and party in the venue’s buzzy after hours club. Jerome Lorvellec has stepped out of the Nobu and Pershing Hall kitchen’s and has crafted a truly intercontinental menu using a plethora of the freshest ingredients from Europe, The America’s and The Orient. The food is a fusion of American favorites prepared in a French classic style resulting in such exquisite treats as kobe mini burgers, truffled mac and cheese and the quite spectacular, lobster rolls. Décor is truly modern and typically Parisian with a sleek uber-modern black lacquered interior providing the perfect spot for fashionistas to strut their stuff. A decidedly cutting edge venue, where cutting edge people enjoy some cutting edge cuisine.
