The worlds most decorated Chef’s signature establishment in the Plaza Athenee not only brandishes 3 of Ducasse’s 12 michelin stars but also has a current score of 19/20 points in the Gault Millau guide and it is ranked 17th in restaurant magazine’s global standings. A regal dining space within the bowels of one of Paris’ most deluxe hotels the Plaza Athenees dining room is a model of elegance and majesty. The restaurant offers contemporary French cuisine with Ducasse’s omnipresent twists. Menu’s feature modern and authentic French dishes in which the flavours of the ingredients are given pride of place. This Parisian “symphony” is conducted by the skilled and experienced chef, Christophe Moret, a Ducasse collaborator of over 10 years. Guests can put together their own menu, choosing from a range of dishes from different cultures, regions or based on different produce. Speciality dishes, langoustine in lemon cream with a dod of Iranian caviar in perfumed bouillon and Chicken from Bresse with vegetables cooked in a bouillon and Albufera sauce are noteworthy exemplars of the kind of innovative cuisine that guests can expect, this is not the ‘steeped in tradition’ fine dining of Le Cinq or Georges but rather a modern chic approach to gastronomy. But make no mistake it is certainly fine dining nonetheless.
